
General Notice
The Silver Lake City Council is looking for an individual interested in serving as a member of the Planning Commission. The Planning Commission plays a vital role in ensuring that the plans for growth and development for the city are followed and changed as needed. Responsibilities include issuing conditional use permits and variances, changing the zoning map, and attending regular meetings of the Planning Commission.
Requirements: Must be a resident of Silver Lake for at least 30 days and have a desire to get involved in the community.
This is an appointed position by the city Council. Members serve three-year terms, so this position would run from 2025-2028.

Pool & Infrastructure Project Update - Friday, July 18, 2025
The paving of Lane Ave was not able to be completed as planned. At this time, a date has not been set for the paving. Until it can be done, access to the pool parking lot has been opened up.

WATER WILL BE SHUT OFF TO THE WHOLE CITY ON THURSDAY, JULY 24, 2025
On Thursday, July 24, a water valve replacement at the city's water tower will require a complete water shut-off to the whole city beginning at 8:30 am., expected to last throughout the day. Please ensure you have enough water for the day and plan accordingly. You can fill your bathtub with water prior to 8:30am and use that water for flushing your toilet when necessary. Mini-Biffs will be available at the pool and by the Auditorium that day as well.
If you have a neighbor that you know is home-bound or does not have internet access, please share this information with them.
