Volunteer Opportunities

Silver Lake has many non-profit organizations that support the city and the surrounding area. Many of the local events wouldn't be possible without the hard work of these great organizations. Silver Lake Lions Club

Purpose: To serve the community through volunteerism and support the Lions International programs.

Pola-Czesky Days Committee

Purpose: Coordinate annual city celebration.

Silver Lake Sportsman's Club

Purpose: To improve hunting and fishing opportunities around the Silver Lake area, and at the same time conserve our natural resources for future generations.

GFWC Silver Lake Women's Club

Purpose: Promote education, preserving natural resources, encourage healthy lifestyles, work on behalf of the elderly and people with disabilities, and advocate for issues concerning women, children and families, and support participation in the arts.

Silver Lake Civic Association

Purpose: Promote activities for residents of Silver Lake area, friendships and fellowship of its members, and enhancement of community through various projects.

Knights of Columbus #1841

Purpose: A Catholic, family, fraternal organization dedicated to values and faith of the Roman Catholic Church. It is comprised of Catholic men, who with the involvement of our families, provide support for the church, our families, our community and our youth through charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism.

Silver Lake Senior Citizens Club

Purpose: Promote the welfare of all people 60 and older in the Silver Lake community and surrounding area.

American Legion Post 141

Purpose: Fostering a strong national security, taking care of veterans, mentoring the youth of our nation and promoting patriotism and honor.

American Legion Auxiliary Unit 141

Purpose: To contribute to the aims and purposes of the American Legion.

Crow River Sno Pros Inc.

Purpose: To groom and maintain snowmobile trails in McLeod County and provide funds for scholarships, police and fire departments, and other programs as needed.

Central MN Two-Cylinder Club

Purpose: Dedicated to the restoration and preservation of antique John Deere two-cylinder tractors, their accessories, lore and literature.

Silver Lake Dining Site

Purpose: Provide a nutritional meal for senior citizens as well as an opportunity to socialize and play cards, bingo, etc.
