Mayor

    • Term 2019-2020

      • Where were you born?

        • Chicago, IL

      • When did you move to Silver Lake?

        • I moved here in 1993 with my son and rented an apartment above the Variety Store.

      • Family:

        • My son and I are very close and in many ways he has taught me a lot about life. My husband and I are very similar, we both work very hard but in our spare time we are practically inseparable.

      • What motivated you to run for office?

        • I ran for many reasons: I am a Real Estate Agent and when I ask people if they would consider living in Silver Lake, they typically say they don’t think there are enough amenities; that made me want to step up and enhance our community; next, because I feel the need to help find ways to improve our infrastructure and bring it up to date. And lastly, because I love this town and want to see it succeed while still keeping the core values and fundamentals that our parents and grandparents built this town on.

      • What are some hobbies you enjoy?

        • I love to cut the lawn, play golf and cook for my family.

      • What are your goals for Silver Lake?

        • My goals are to trim wasteful spending, grow our economy by being open to new businesses and homes coming to town, and update some of our city owned properties.

      • What's a fun fact about you?

        • When I first moved to Minnesota in 1988, I stayed at the Gallery Motel in Silver Lake for a week until my apartment was ready. I spent my spare time walking around town and getting to know the area, I found it to be a safe and friendly town and that’s when I fell in love with the town and knew I would be back to stay someday.
